Columbia South Carolina

Columbia, South Carolina had to happen to us. It helped us discover a lot of the things we wanted and didn’t want from our adventures. This was supposed to be my first nursing assignment. It did not pan out how we hoped. So we moved on. But in the mean time we did get to enjoy Columbia, South Carolina and the surrounding areas a little bit.

Truth be told I thought Anthony was crazy taking us on this scary hike. It looked sketchy from the side of the road where someone across the street had a 6 foot fence, a couple of gravestone crosses and were selling chickens. But it was pretty neat. This stone is called “Peach Tree Rock.” It has fossils dating back to when this part of South Carolina was under water. Pretty cool! We even found a little waterfall nearby.

Nick and Dee stopped on their way down to Florida! We convinced them to stay longer than they planned. 🙂 Which I’m so glad we did because we got to go on a really cool bike ride together on the Saluda Riverwalk.

We had breakfast at a “posh” breakfast restaurant. Nick and Dee got some really nice mugs from! ( took us a while to actually be able to tell what the picture was of on the front) it is not mountains like I thought.

It was sad to watch them go! But a storm was brewing down in Florida and they had to head on the road. ( check out the new rig ! She’s a beaut )

My Dad came to visit the next day and then we checked off our next national park. Which I will finish on the next post. Tanner is up from his nap!

Till next time! We love you all. Thanks for coming along with us. -The Miller family
