We have had such a great few weeks in between my jobs. I mean we’ve had some really great days guys! Like pinch me days. Where everything just has been going so good and we’ve all just been vibing and moving along perfectly. Sad my nap time snuggles will now again be limited for the next 13 weeks.. but happy to be able to work and start a new adventure that will help contribute to our lives. Mississippi is teaching us things. It’s nice to kind of hit the “slow” down button a little bit. We’re taking this state more slowly and not jam packing it with adventures. Well atleast trying not too. (Haha) it’s hard when you stumble across some pretty awesome things like this….

We found a cool little nature center! They are looking for some volunteers so we’ve decided to devote 1 day a week to coming in a couple hours and donating our time to help out around the place. we will keep you posted on the things we’re doing. It’s a really nice park. One of the trails lead to the “Elephant tree” now tell me that wasn’t meant for us ?

They had a nice amphitheater area where we sat and had lunch.

I love my snackale box! ( thanks Sarah) If anyone’s interested in where I got it. Just message me! It’s so nice and easy to take along for our picnic days!

This shrub was SO fragrant. It smelled very similar to lemon balm. But if you’re familiar with lemon balm trees they really are only fragrant when you touch or rub the leaves. This shrub you could smell it from half way down the trail. It was such a clean smell. Lots and lots of bees were pollinating it. This shrub is extremely toxic to humans and dogs. Unless it’s a certain species of the berries. Then people make jams and all that stuff with them. But they say it’s best to avoid altogether. Would hate to not get the correct one and make poison jam! ( hahaha Evil laugh )

This park was fun. Can’t wait to help get it cleaned up a bit.
Lastly yesterday was just an absolutely incredible once in a lifetime series of great events that happened to us.
We had decided we would go to the Saturday Jackson Mississippi farmers market. We wanted to check out the local cuisines and buy some local honey for our allergies. Well we stumbled across the DIXIE NATIONAL RODEO Parade. How FREAKING COOL. ( sorry Sarah for all the horse pictures your going to see )

Check out how cute this little boy was. There were so many little cowboys and little cowgirls all dressed up. Dad’s in cowboy hats, moms all bedazzled up and the whole nine yards. We were loving it! Lots of beautiful families.

We got to meet Miss Mississippi! Of course Tanner was Shy. She was the nicest most humbling kind of person. She just was to sweet and normal to talk to. She ended up getting a high five from Tanner after some sweet talking.
So after leaving the parade we stumbled upon and getting our local honey and trying some “kool aid pickles” ( they are exactly what you think …pickles in koolaide mix ) sweet sweet sweet but apparently a southern dish to snack on… we tried it. We won’t be buying it again lol

He’s so dang handsome! Would you believe it. But we stopped and asked an older couple where they would recommend us to eat. Mr. Arthur offered us box tickets to see the RODEO! ( Bucket list mark off for Anthony!! Yippie ) apparently the commissioners and governor and some other big wigs sit in this box office.

Our seats and that’s the commissioner. Very nice gentleman. Had zero clue who we were and still said hello and that it was good to see us!

Hats in full effect!

This sweet baby was rescued during a hurricane after being left behind. Mr Boganles is now a true celebrity horse. Entertaining millions of people every year. Such a sweet story.

Tanner got to meet one of the pretty show horse girls and got her autograph.

Unfortunately no one was able to make it 8 seconds in the bull riding section. But it was still very entertaining to watch both of them watch the show. We had a blast.

Afterwards George Birge performed. Hmm yep we weren’t to sure who he was either. He has a couple songs on the radio. But we decided he was maybe a little too “pop” country for us. Catchy songs but not our jam. Overall GREAT DAY!
Wish me luck for my new job tomorrow !
Till next time. We love you. Thanks for coming along-The Miller Family
