New Orleans, LA

What an absolute fun adventure!

And of course our luck! The weather was not the best for Mardi Gras season in New Orleans this year. So a couple of the parades got rescheduled to the following weekend. Yay us!

Krewe of Barkus

This is probably the most “family” friendly parade there is… and even then it was a bit sketchy at times.

The music was great! We got some beads. Got to pet tons of pups. And explored a little bit around the town.

Tanner chasing the pigeons away.

Eating beignets at Cafe beignet!

And laughing because the wind had covered everyone in powdered sugar dust!

They were delicious!

Alligator bites

Ehhh not my favorite. A little too squishy / chewy for us. But the batter was really good!

St. Louis Cathedral

231 years old! The oldest continuously active Catholic Church in America.

French quarter

Overall I think we had a really great time. Krewe of barkus was such fun. The music was fantastic. All the random bands or people singing along the streets. The only complaint I’d say is how dirty it was. I mean absolutely disgusting. Really not sure what I’d expected. It is a huge party area. well I’ll leave you all with one last picture of Tanner attempting to chase the birds away.

Till next time. We love you all. Thanks for coming along. – The Miller Family

Stay tuned for the next post about Mariah’s visit!

Love the opening picture. That’s an awesome picture of the three of you. Between the pups and the bubbles and the birds, I would bet that Bubba loved it!! Love Tanners expressions in these pictures but then again, I love this kid to pieces. The history in the town is amazing.
Love you Bubba, to the moon, around the stars and back to earth forever 💙♾️
