Ohh Mississippi…. the goal was to have more outside days and more slow living. We did accomplish that. Sort of. Mississippi overall was good to us. Anthony says “would he plan a vacation to Mississippi… probably not.”

We absolutely LOVED where we stayed though. Askews Landing Rv Campground
We met some really wonderful people there. It’s such a nice family campground with so many fun things to do and a great community feel.

We even did a little exploring nearby cities of Clinton and Jackson MS.
We tried out the science museum in Jackson. The children’s museum and a drive through safari.

The overall days outdoor definitely made this trip worth it.

Now the work….
The work was not as expected but sort of was. I think if I would have been told it was more of a progressive care unit instead of med/surg I would have been more mentally prepared to deal with it. This hospital has no units between the ED and ICU. So the floor I worked on got it all. Boy did I get some good learning opportunities. I’ll say those nurses work hard. They come to work 12 hour shifts and even though sometimes it’s 12-14 hours put in they absolutely WORK every single second of that time. To say travel nursing is an easy job is a d*** lie. it is not. It’s expected I’m coming into a situation that needs help. I understand this. But this….
They need raises!
So now
Here’s the photo I’VE been waiting for !

Well till next time. Thanks for coming along. We love you all! -The Miller Family
