2–3 minutes

While visiting Montana. We had the opportunity to go to Yellowstone not only once but three times! Each time we visited a different section! And every time it was a different experience.

We even had visitors come along. Papa of course bringing the cold weather with him. Although we can’t really blame him this time -we were in the mountains.

They say we got old faithful on a bad erupt. The erupting before had been bigger than most so by the time we got to it, it wasn’t as high or big as it normally is. The whole process they’ve figured out for the eruption times and how high it’ll go is a wonder in itself.

We got to see bison. Lots and lots of bison. We saw some pronghorns, elk and even a bear with its cub. Tanner likes the prairie dogs but my favorite was the wolf…

Just kidding…We got to see some coyotes although I’m convinced it was a wolf. That thing was big and fluffy. Maybe I’m just use to seeing street rat coyotes from Ohio. They saw a coyote …I saw a wolf. It walked along the foot path just behind the bison in the picture below.

Mountain goats

Apparently these white mountain goats are special to see. Tanner says “they look like they’ve seen better days.” I agree.

Yellowstone actually can be stressful( for a mom) Poor Tanner wanted to run around but you can’t go off any paths near the geyser area.

Also – hiking along the river to see a waterfall during the beginning of spring time in Yellowstone on an off-beaten path was STUPID. So incredibly touristy of us. Especially because when we were leaving there was a grisly bear attack on two gentlemen. Reminded me of the time Papa and Anthony decided to go off the water path on our small Jon boat in search of alligators and found a bunch of babies instead. They are always doing things to scare me. Or the time they wanted to hike down the whole Sabino canyon river with known mountain lions present. I mean literally after we watched a trail cam video of all the wild animals in the area. I’ve got more stories.

Next visitors were Kiki and her friend Izzy!

Izzy, Tanner. Kiki
Coyote

Lots of madness happening inside the camper van. Those floating heads up top are Kiki and Izzy.

The girls were not anticipating to spend their summer vacay in the snow. But I think they had a neat experience.

Only thing that could have made these trips better would be … seeing a grisly bear catching a salmon in the riverbed. I know it’s asking a lot but how cool would it be!

Well till next time! Thanks for coming along with us. We love and miss you all. -The Miller Family
